Emilio Masci is an accomplished and licensed investment professional having spent an unprecedented two decades at Point 72 Asset Management, under renowned investor Steve Cohen. During this time, he gained recognition as one of the firm’s top money managers. His ability to manage risk and generate meaningful returns eventually caught the attention of rival hedge fund giant Millennium Asset Management, where he was hired to manage nearly $1 billion dollars in investor assets. Emilio's extensive experience and remarkable achievements in the hedge fund world prompted a new direction. In his quest to share his investment knowledge with the public he made the pivotal decision to leave the hedge fund industry and form Aperture Advisors.
Emilio is a passionate and respected art collector whose works have been showcased in major galleries and museums. His collection includes artists Andy Warhol, Richard Prince, Keith Haring, Jean-Michal Basquiat and Ed Ruscha.
Emilio has a Bachelor of Accountancy, Magna Cum Laude, from The George Washington University. He recently completed an Executive CFO program at Columbia University Business School and has a Certificate of Corporate Governance from Columbia Business School. He also has been a multi-year winner of the Brendan Wood International TopGun Investment Minds award.
Emilio was born and raised in Manhattan and is a devoted father to his 16 year old daughter.
