CHRISTIAN DE BERARDINIS – FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Christian De Berardinis is the Founder and Managing Partner of Aperture Advisors, an independent investment advisor. Under his leadership, Aperture Advisors has been built on one principle: that institutional-quality asset management, delivered with complete transparency and alignment, produces superior risk adjusted results for investors who demand more.
Professional Experience
Christian began his career at JPMorgan's New York headquarters, renowned as one of the most competitive environments in global finance. Within the Investment Bank, he worked directly with some of the world's largest institutional investors — advising them on the firm's research, market insights, and execution support to help them make informed investment decisions. He partnered closely with trading desks, syndicate teams, and investment bankers to support capital-raising efforts for public and private companies, including IPOs, secondary offerings, and private placements. This role gave him hands-on exposure to how markets function at scale, how institutions allocate capital, and how companies finance growth.
He later advanced to the Private Bank at JPMorgan, , the firm's highest level of banking, where he advised prominent families, foundations, pensions, endowments, and trust companies — including major university endowments. The role focused on the firm's elite clientele, where De Berardinis drew upon his deep knowledge of the firm to deliver comprehensive solutions for intricate client personal and professional needs.
In 2015, Christian was recruited by Morgan Stanley, where he took his practice to an even higher level — serving sophisticated investors through concentrated, high-conviction portfolio construction, negotiating relentlessly on their behalf, and always putting their interests first.
Eventually, it became clear that the large brokerage firms could not provide what investors truly longed for: independent, conflict-free asset management with genuine alignment. Guided by this conviction, Christian voluntarily resigned from Morgan Stanley to establish Aperture Advisors, built from the ground up to deliver what the traditional system never had the incentive to provide.
Today, at Aperture Advisors, Christian applies this institutional foundation with full investment discretion. His focus is clear: deliver superior risk-adjusted returns - paired with rigorous risk management - and meaningful alpha through concentrated, high-conviction portfolio management. The same institutional standard he held himself to throughout his career at JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley.
De Berardinis - Family Legacy
Christian’s professional values are deeply connected to his family’s legacy. His family hails from Silvi Alta, a historic hilltop town in Abruzzo, Italy.
During World War II, members of the De Berardinis family, along with other residents of Silvi Alta, risked their lives to shelter Jewish families fleeing Nazi persecution. This history of courage and compassion has been documented and recognized internationally, including by Gariwo, Ynet News, JWeekly, and Wikipedia.
For Christian, this legacy is more than history — it represents a culture of helping others in times of need. He views his work with investors as an extension of that same spirit: guiding people with trust, discipline, and conviction, especially in moments of uncertainty.
Community & Personal Life
Christian has been active in philanthropy and community causes throughout his career. He has completed the New York City and San Diego marathons, raising money for cancer research in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and has supported fundraising events for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Dalhousie University, a leading Canadian institution. He is fluent in Italian and conversational in French and Spanish, which enables him to connect with a broad range of clients and colleagues.
Christian lives in West Palm Beach, Florida, with his beautiful and loving wife and is a dedicated father to two young daughters. Family is central to his life, and the perspective of being both a husband and a father reinforces his belief in building strategies that protect wealth today while creating opportunity for the next generation.
